Red Vendetta - Sleestaks - Ideal Drone (CD)

These sensors will help out you in finding the front of obstacles within th meter range. It has a 5. Also, enables clear visibility even in the sunlight also. Mainly it uses three flight modes such as Position, Sport, Atti.

S-Mode provides a higher speed that covers 45 mph 72 kmph. Finally, the A-Mode ceases the satellite stabilization. When it reaches the low battery level, it will alert to return home safely without any obstacles. DJI, one of the most famous Drone manufacturing companies in the world. We can have a fantastic aerial footage with the drone cameras. You can get a maximum flight time for 30 minutes. Another staple variant in FPS is the Tele-Frag , which can be exploited as a valid means of killing in games like Unreal Tournament that have teleporting "weapons.

Then there's the Gold PP7, which can kill anything in one shot and has a 7 round magazine, but can only be obtained through cheats. The Golden Gun is actually required to kill Baron Samedi in the Egypt mission since no other weapon not even explosives can kill him. In the film, the bullets were no more lethal than regular bullets, it was simply that Scaramanga was skilled enough to always kill his targets in one shot.

The reason they're gold i. It had a one bullet magazine too. In Urban Terror , a shot to the head with any weapon is a OHK, unless they have a helmet, in which case some weapons won't deal enough damage; even with a helmet, a sniper round to the head means death. This is subverted in the Jedi Knight series, where Force-sensitive enemies will dodge your sniper shots, even if they don't see you. Of course, this is because the lightsaber is the most powerful weapon in these games: one slash is usually enough to kill any non-Jedi enemy and one well-placed slash with the "Strong", Darth Vader-like style is enough to kill anyone except the bosses.

Jedi Outcast also includes the hidden "realistic combat" mode, which unlocks the lightsaber's full decapitation and dismemberment potential, making each strike even mere touch! That also affects the enemies' lightsabers. Halo : In Halo 2 's Legendary difficulty, the Sniper Jackals kill you instantly no matter where they hit.

Like most shooters, explosives and sniper headshots are one-hit kills. Additionally, the Binary Rifle is a special sniper designed to kill an enemy in one shot no matter where they're hit. Halo 5: Guardians balances this out somewhat by requiring you to keep the beam on your target for the entirety of its short duration in order to get the kill. The Gravity Hammer and Energy Sword are one-hit-kill weapons, to balance out the fact that they're melee weapons.

In the Syphon Filter series, headshots and explosions are guaranteed instant death for the player as well as enemies except for certain bosses , regardless of armor and health levels. In Combat Arms , the headshots were a one hit kill of course, but at one point, getting shot in a, ahem It was later nerfed to only occur when the fatal bullet or melee attack would nail the unfortunate player in the nads.

Female characters could suffer this too, for balance reasons, but lacked the extra effects the males had. Call of Duty 4 and beyond add a knife that is an instant kill if it connects. Bashing people with your gun in earlier games was also generally instant death, unless you did it with a pistol. Some entries in the Unreal series include the InstaGib mod, which gives all players Shock Rifles with nearly unlimited ammo and each hit is lethal.

Battlefield : The knife in most of the series, excepting Battlefield Heroes and, depending on how you use it, in Battlefield 3 , is a short-ranged weapon which kills all infantry in one strike. Boom, Headshot! Headshots with Sniper Rifles would always be a one hit kill, and shotguns were a one hit kill in the head at close range along with any other part of the body but other small arms would just deal more damage than normal.

The RPGs in 2 and were one of the few weapons that would result in the victim not able to be revived by a medic, regardless on where they were hit. Team Fortress 2 : The Spy's Butterfly Knife is a guaranteed one-hit kill if you can attack the enemy from behind. The base damage is twice the victim's health, multiplied by three for a Critical Hit. The attack is based on which part of his foe the Spy is aiming at, not where's he's actually standing this is particularly infuriating when server lag lets enemy Spies Backstab you in the face.

And the Sniper's headshot ability, when fully charged, inflicts damage, and with the Machina exactly enough to kill an over-healed Heavy and way more than enough to kill anyone else. On a technical level, only telefrags and falling into pits are One Hit Kills. Sawblades, trains, and the Horseless Headless Horsemann later nerfed deal damage equal to double your current health.

On the note of "so much damage that it's an instant kill, assuming there's no damage reduction," taunt kills. Taunting with a certain weapon out it varies depending on the class will make your character play through an animation that will kill any enemy unfortunate enough to walk in front of you at the wrong time. They do damage, and as mentioned above, the normal maximum health count is Most of these can destroy buildings instantly as well, whereas the backstab and headshot rely on Critical Hits to work, which don't affect buildings.

Of course, given that you're locked in place for the duration of the animation and the limited range of most of these taunts, they fall firmly into Awesome, but Impractical territory for any kind of serious gameplay. The Half-Zatoichi is a katana for the Soldier and Demoman. If you hit an enemy wielding one of his own with it, it does damage equal to three times his current health, causing an instant decapitation.

A cluster of well-placed stickybombs can also gib any player unfortunate enough to get caught in the detonation.

Getting caught right in front of a Heavy's minigun is essentially this; the thing deals insane damage at point-blank range enough to shred even another Heavy in half a second. Of course, it suffers from damage falloff as range increases, but it has to be balanced somehow. The Heavy, Pyro, Soldier and other Demomen also take one or two hits, depending on overheal levels. You can also use the Ullapool Caber to one hit kill everyone near you with a massive critical explosion.

On the other hand, it takes more than half your health in the blast and then turns into a detonated grenade that's basically worthless.

Tanks in the Mann vs. Machine game mode can instantly kill players by crushing them against a wall. They can also destroy Engineer buildings by running them over. The demon morph Super Mode in Painkiller deals out one hit kills to mooks. Ostensibly, it's powerful enough to kill bosses in one hit as well, but with one exception the final battle against Lucifer, a Puzzle Boss who is immune to your attacks you can't get souls on boss levels, so no demon morph for you.

Not only can it instantly kill any unshielded target with one shot regardless of hit location, but it can also shoot through any number of solid objects. It gets worse , when you put the Farsight into its secondary mode it will also track the enemies for you, meaning the player could basically kill anything by pulling the trigger anywhere on the level.

Broken indeed. There's also the golden DYLX, a golden version of the normal revolver. It destroys anything that can be destroyed in one bullet. Both the Farsight and the gold magnum have virtually unlimited penetration, so they would instantly kill as many people as you could get in a straight line.

The Crossbow has a secondary fire that turns it into a one hit kill weapon, which was far more useful than the primary fire, "Sedate". Add to that the fact that you could retrieve bolts if they missed, and you had a potentially infinite-ammo instant kill weapon.

The Tranquilizer Gun also has an instant kill function, although it ate up a lot of the gun's ammo and functioned as a melee attack. Left 4 Dead : The game has one hit kills on the common infected if they are set on fire.

The sequel also supports this and also has incendiary bullets, making any gun similar to GoldenEye 's Golden Gun on the common infected. Shoving the back of a common infected while they are idle just like Metal Gear is an instant kill and also nets you an achievement.

The Magnum can also one shot common infected, regardless of difficulty or where you shot them, though that doesn't apply to any special or boss zombies. Doing a Goomba Stomp to a common infected will also kill them instantly and break your fall.

Left 4 Dead 2 's melee weapons in general can One-Hit Polykill the common infected, and one hit kill the majority of the special infected except Chargers outside of a head impact, and Tanks and Witches no matter what as long as you're not aiming for the legs, regardless of difficulty.

As a reverse example, on Expert difficulty , the Witch only has to swat a Survivor once to kill. She can also do this on any difficulty in Realism mode. Also, as the norm for the genre, headshots kill most zombies in one hit with a strong enough weapon. Again, Tanks and Witches are immune to that. Witches can be killed with a single well-placed point-blank shotgun blast to the back of the head an act affectionately dubbed "cr0wning the Witch".

Very much Difficult, but Awesome , because miss by just a tiny bit and you'll be on the receiving end of the Witch's own One-Hit Kill. Tanks on Expert difficulty can incapacitate a survivor with a single punch. They can also attack by punching cars, dumpsters, and other heavy objects at the survivors, which will instantly incapacitate anyone it hits regardless of difficulty, and may very well end up killing the victim if they get trapped under the object and therefore unable to be helped up by their teammates.

Yes, even sliding into their ankles works Emissions in S. They are one-hit kills, except in Call of Pripyat if you have Marked by the Zone achievement Survive emission three times without taking cover, it's possible with special pills called Anabiotics and enough health, but even then, it will leave you with just bars of health, and you will pass out.

More mundanely, headshots will kill most human enemies with one blow. Good luck finding ammunition, though. In Black , a headshot will kill any enemy soldier in one shot, no matter what angle it's shot from. Even the hockey-masked shotgunners, who resist even a shotgun blast and three rifle rounds that'll make said mask fall off, fall to a single bullet.

Overwatch has this for some of the heroes' Ultimates : McCree's "Deadeye" is a guaranteed headshot for every hero in his line of sight. Reinhardt's " Charge " is all but guaranteed to kill any non-tank hero, dealing HP damage while non-tanks only have HP at most. Va's " Self-Destruct " will blow any hero unlucky enough to be in the blast radius to hell and back.

In Paladins : Drogoz's ultimate is the "Dragon Punch", which launches him at high speed to one shot a single enemy with a jet-powered punch, regardless of their health or shields. In Stick Fight , certain stages have hazards that will instantly kill a player that hits them, such as huge laser beams and spikes, either on platforms or in stage-specific obstacles. Rainbow Six Siege has this trope as a central gameplay mechanic.

A single shot to the head from the majority of guns, even through walls, will result in an instant death. The only major exceptions are shotguns for balancing reasons.

The game relies so heavily on this trope that when Blackbeard was added to the game whose special ability involves withstanding multiple headshots thanks to a gun-mounted ballistic shield , many high-ranking players found him controversial and ill-fitting of the game's meta. His gun shield ended up being nerfed multiple times, prompting the nickname "Nerfbeard". Bayonetta : The series gives the titular character Torture Attacks , in which she summons the torture devices once used on witches from the depths of hell to brutally slaughter her angelic enemies the ones who were responsible for the witches being hunted to extinction in the first place.

The only non-boss enemy the Torture Attack won't kill is a demonic enemy from the second game called Sloth, which gets chopped down to just his severed head before regenerating.

The Final Boss of the first game possesses one of these in the form of an Unrealistic Black Hole which the titular witch must outrun. Get sucked in? The Witch Hunts are Over. In Bayonetta 2 , the Elite Mook demon called Resentment has a two-part one of these. It first uses a purple laser to turn Bayonetta into a child. Then it tries to grab her with demonic hands that will drag her into its gaping maw, inflicting one of these if it succeeds.

Chapter X of the second game has a section where Rodin is seen killing multiple demons with single attacks. According to him, this is him going easy on them.

When Dr. Peace is almost defeated, he and Travis agree to perform a Wild West style duel in which the first person to draw his weapon will be able to kill the other.

Failure to press the proper button will prompt Dr. Peace to perform a roll to shot Travis from behind, killing him instantly. This also doubles as Kaizo Trap. Shinobu has a pair of near instant-death attacks after she Turns Red : she can take you from full health to two points with her supercharged Gengoken attack, and her multi-Sonic Sword attack will off you if she hits you with all the blades. And she is the third boss of the game. Harvey Moisewitch Volodarskii and Bad Girl also have instant-death attacks, the former if you fail to break out of his magic box, and the latter if you fall for her trap.

Henry breaks one out once his health reaches Turns Red territory; it's the one that looks like the Stinger from Devil May Cry and plants you into the concrete. Surprisingly, there are fewer one-hit kills in the sequel , but they're noteworthy: Captain Vladimir's extended Kill Sat laser and the final boss' violent defenestration attack. More frustrating is the latter, though, who is more or less a checklist of The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard , with teleporting, chaining attacks, ranged attacks, multiple forms, and possibly most frustrating, a OHKO that really can be ANY move, so long as you're on a specific third of the stage or, if the attack is too strong, almost anywhere.

Travis gains another OHK in the sequel: turning into a tiger and ripping apart the suddenly-terrified enemies. Kill Counters and Superstyle moves in Heavenly Sword.

Kill Counters are performed by hitting Triangle as soon as an attack is blocked, Superstyle moves are performed by beating up enough enemies to fill your power gauge, then pressing Circle near an enemy.

Superstyle moves are also used on some bosses, where doing so triggers a QTE that defeats the boss if performed successfully. Kai's arrows also kill most enemies in one or two hits, depending where on the body you hit them. Once pulled off, though, you can chain them using the "Chain Critical" move after learning it , allowing you to kill loads of enemies in one move. While in Onimusha mode, using either of these moves kills every enemy on the screen.

In The Return of the King , your characters can learn "bane" moves, which are species-specific ripostes. If you pull it off correctly, you will kill the mook that just attacked you and instantly go into Perfect Mode.

In Sengoku Basara , Shimazu Yoshihiro has a Super Skill that will kill any enemy in one hit, whether they be ordinary mooks, bosses or giant robots. Final Fantasy XI : For balance reasons the game initially didn't allow players to get these abilities. Doesn't stop some boss monsters, however. Even then, some monsters have abilities which kill them, but deal area damage based on their HP Unless they have the Ninja job 2-hour, then nothing happens to them.

Considering most of these mobs have thousands of HP, well, do the math. An update added a playable an instant death ability in the form of the new avatar Odin, which will have AoE death but with less accuracy the more mobs that surround it , on all normal mobs.

In Kingdom of Loathing : There's one boss Lord Spookyraven that is designed so that its first hit is equal to your max HP, and all of his attacks will be based on the elemental type you have the least resistance to. The only way to survive his first and later attacks is to build up your immunity to all the elements by some degree , have a Familiar that blocks attacks and hope it works , or pray that he fumbles his first attack , which is known to happen.

In cast you were wondering, each rocket deals Your Max HP plus 50 damage on its first attack, and increases by 30 every turn. Combined with ML in the thousands plus a steep soft damage cap makes it a tough boss to take down without some preparations. The de facto B-Gear weapon, Bawoos, regularly deal HP damage per missile, while B-Gears are famous to be able to throw at least of them forwards, and 12 or more downwards.

This move sacrifices one's own gear to take down others equal to its own Energy. With custom made Veils armors , BBs can hit up to 14k damage, effectively acting as a very effective crowd-control move.

Final Fantasy XIV : For most trials, raids, and alliance raids, the boss will have an attack that will cause a Total Party Wipe unless the players do the required mechanics correctly to avoid instant death.

The Manticore item in the Palace of the Dead deep dungeon transforms the player into a Manticore whose punch can instantly kill any enemy except bosses.

Before the Diadem was reworked, there was a boss monster that could cause petrification. Unlike the typical petrification, this version would kill the affected player instantly if they got damaged while petrified.

World of Warcraft : The game has most of its raid bosses set to an "enrage" timer that activates at the point the programmers determined to be most logical for the difficulty cap for the boss, upon which point the boss in question gains massive attack strength and attack speed, resulting in instant and rapid death for each member of the raid.

Depending on the overall encounter conditions, the boss might be able to do this to the whole raid at once Algalon uses Ascend To The Heavens to blow up the whole raid, Yogg-Saron extinguishes all life, kaput! The Lich King uses his Fury Of Frostmourne to wipe the whole raid near the end of the encounter, though the raid is resurrected shortly afterwards and wipes the floor with him. Some boss abilities are basically avoidable One Hit Kills.

Avoiding might mean to acquire an effect that protects against a good chunk of the damage, running behind line of sight obstacles, interrupting the spell or simply running away whenever it comes up. Tanks may or may not be tough enough to survive it regardless, but everyone else has to avoid it anyway. Some bosses even go as far as coupling this with getting stronger when they kill someone with such a spell.

Bloodlord Mandokir in the updated Zul'Gurub dungeon has Decapitate , which deals around 15 million damage to the target. It is unavoidable, and without a special ability like Cheat Death , it will one-shot anyone it hits. Fortunately, in this encounter death is even cheaper than usual in World of Warcraft ; you can get resurrected once by each of the spirits around the arena, and only once all of them have done so or gotten eaten by the boss's skeletal raptor mount does death become like it usually is.

You can also survive being thrown off a cliff with Warlock's 'Demonic Circle', although it requires good timing. Or simply use one of the Paladin's two Invulnerability spells and ignore the damage. The Warriors Execute skill and similar skills is meant to be this, although usable only if the enemy is already at low health. Normal opponents and players will die barring damage-preventing effects like the Cheat Death talent , but against a raid boss it only deals heavy damage.

It does the most single-tick damage of any of the Warlock's spells, but takes a minute before the damage is applied. If the damage kills your opponent, it spawns a Doomguard demon. On lower-level creatures it can be a One Hit Kill, if your squishy warlock can avoid being killed for 60 seconds but once you reach boss-level it just does a whole lot of damage. It's since been changed to Bane of Doom which instead deals hefty damage every 15 seconds not One Hit Kill tier, though.

Deathwing is a unique example in that his final attack is something that you've already suffered through- The Cataclysm. This is the closest thing an MMO can get to a Nonstandard Game Over , as letting him use it causes the screen to fade to black as you and everything else is utterly destroyed. Monks have a variant of this, Touch Of Death which instantly deals the monk's max health in damage to an NPC-only enemy that has the same or less HP than the monk's maximum, effectively killing them instantly and ending the fight.

For the Brewmaster, this means you can one-shot normal monsters, since, as the tank spec, they have a high max HP. In the Assembly of Iron encounter, if Steelbreaker the giant is the last of the three alive, he will use an attack on his current target that gives a damage buff, but kills that player after a little while.

As such, killing him last is typically considered the hardest way to do the fight. In Throne of Thunder, if High Priestess Mar'li is empowered with Gara'jal the Spiritbinder's spirit, she summons Shadowed Loa Spirits that instantly kill their victims if they reach them and leap over to them and kill them if not killed in 20 seconds.

A hefty chunk of the opponents players face in the Brawler's Guild are capable of this in one way or another, the main challenge being to avoid it while still managing to burn them down fast enough to beat the enrage timer at which point the arena automatically One Hit Kills you with a rain of fire. City of Heroes : The right combination of buffs can grant these, though certain archetypes have an easier time doing it.

Blasters need only combine their Build Up, Aim, and Sniper attacks. Though it should be noted that this will only work against "minion" enemies, or "Lieutenants" who are lower level than the blaster in question. Firstly on stage, then through younger generations; when Bob Sinclar samples his music or invites him to collaborate, it's a new way for Cerrone to keep making crowds dance.

All the Pleasures was a worldwide phenomenon, one of the first Melbourne albums of the modern era to reach an international audience. Coming off their third overseas tour in , the band took a break that turned into more of a hiatus, although calling it quits was never in the cards.

The result is a glorious pop record. All the classic Crayon Fields trademarks are there -- the vocal harmonies, guitarist Chris Hung 's fearsome fretwork, Brett Hudson 's nimble basslines, and O'Connor's sly, debonair songwriting. But it is also Crayon Fields as you've never heard them before -- grown-up, knowing, and with a slight swagger in their step. They've always contrasted their structured, detailed pop arrangements with an impulsive, irrational approach to romance.

But this aspect has only become more pronounced as their musicianship develops and singer O'Connor becomes all the more willing to exploit every reflection on love, positive or negative, for the sake of entertainment. Lead single "She's My Hero" is the band at their most exuberant, but "Love Won't Save You" reveals how a six-year gap has replaced innocence with something more worldly. Crayon Fields formed as a high school band in the early s.

In September Brian Eno and Harmonia recorded "Atmosphere" at the band's studio in Forst, Germany, but the song was not released until Edward, who mostly works within house and techno templates while echoing krautrock figures like Conny Plank , is recognized for producing filigreed club tracks with a spiritual edge; he's a mainstay of the Berlin-based White label as well as the esteemed Weimar-based Giegling crew.

Duke of York is their second release following 's highly acclaimed it-ness. Duke of York is a bittersweet contemporary electronic pop record that could only exist as a result of the unison of these particular peculiar souls.

At once tender, skewered, sophisticated, and unsettling, Duke of York is a both a journey through the collective minds of Lewis and Karperyd and a substantial representation of their individual talents.

While both tackle the sonic side of the outing, Lewis also presents pleasantly paranoid lyrics and Karperyd drapes it all in a distinguished design. This combination presents a substantial study of the sonically impressive and visually inviting, with songs rich in brooding, dark atmosphere and melodic content. The production retains the mood of classic Lewis output while achieving a fresh and radical approach to electronics and studio production with Karperyd.

Duke of York is another significant chapter in Lewis's distinguished and uncompromising career and adds to Karperyd's intriguing output. As with the best experimental pop records, Duke of York unfolds with repeated listening, revealing infinite charms.

She was chosen, from over a thousand demo tapes, by legendary producer and songwriter Doi Inthanon , who wanted to create a new streetwise dance music.

The lam phaen genre was the result, and Khwanta Fasawang was the singer he chose to be its representative. Combining earlier musical trajectories with electronic elements and lyrics dealing with drinking and love, money and motorcycles, Khwanta led the cassette-format lam phaen boom of the early '80s, gaining great popularity in both her native Isan and across the whole country. A change in lyrical concerns and the use of electronics has parallels with Jamaican dancehall, and this music can be heard as one of the roots of lam sin, the Thai bass music that began in the '80s and '90s, but these recordings are not mere musicology.

Part outsider electronic album, part physiological experiment, part work of art, this is not your average new age record. The brainchild of a reclusive Israeli multimedia artist fascinated with philosophy, technology, and sound by the name of Ami Shavit , In Alpha Mood is the result of a personal and artistic effort to both overcome a personal trauma and push the boundaries of a fledgling physiological understanding while utilizing the burgeoning domestic synthesizer technology of the late '60s and early '70s.

Shavit sought to combine his love of electronic music acts like Tangerine Dream , Philip Glass , and synthesizer technology with his fascination with the relatively new technique of biofeedback, but his work was interrupted when, in , he was conscripted into the army during the Yom Kippur War. As he struggled to come to terms with his wartime experiences, he began adding battlefield soundbites to his recordings, and found a sort of catharsis.

He returned to his work, and soon a longtime friend and owner of the Mango record shop a Tel Aviv institution at the time suggested he press some of his recordings on vinyl. Rather than cull disparate excerpts from his expansive tape archive of home recordings, Shavit began what would become the culmination of his years of experimentation and the centerpiece of his work with the music-induced state of working relaxation he called Alpha Mood.

Recorded in Shavit's studio during a handful of sessions with no post-production, In Alpha Mood was mastered at Triton Studios where Arik Einstein and Tamouz had also recorded , pressed by Hed Arzi Music one of Israel's oldest and largest labels and manufacturers , and released on Shavit's Amis Records in DPReview Digital Photography. If you're a seller, Fulfillment by Amazon can help you grow your business. Learn more about the program. MC Lyte's career has proved uneven.

When she sticks to her root sound--hard--she's at her best, but that hasn't always turned out to be the most commercially viable path. It works best when the producer lets Lyte be hard and keeps the music interesting, as guest vocalist Missy Elliott does on the opening "In My Business. Lyte unapologetically slices open the pop jugular and celebrates with old school funk samples and catchy hooks. Would you like to tell us about a lower price? For A Dollar - Charles Midgley - Lunch Money (CD, Album)

While a typical definition might describe honesty as the lack of deceit or falsehood, President James E. Faust once declared that:. Honesty is more than not lying. It is truth telling, truth speaking, truth living, and truth loving. True and complete honesty, then, implies a proactive and voluntary initiative of proclaiming truth.

This is a fundamental doctrine of our theology that we at times feel to be simplistic. Its significance was taught by Jesus to Nicodemus when He said :. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Having our deeds exposed to the light of public inquiry is an eventuality we must all face sooner or later.

While we may strive to hide our selfish acts and sins from others for as long as we can, Nephi tells us that in the last days:. There is nothing which is secret save it shall be revealed; there is no work of darkness save it shall be made manifest in the light….

It is far better, then, to conduct our lives in a manner such that when the book of life is opened and the works of darkness read line by line, there will be no entries with our name bearing witness of dishonesty and deceit. What does the average person not of our faith believe about being honest, and how well do they exemplify this virtue in their own lives?

More specifically, how do our youth fare in regards to honesty? The following information is from a survey of nearly 30, high school students conducted in by the Josephson Institute Center for Youth Ethics. These are the only screen protectors my family buys now and I wish they made it for my Google Pixel!

Highly suggest buying this especially if you are someone that drops the phone all the time. I think these are great, and for such an awesome price. I used to buy them for my iPhone se, but can no longer find them for my phone.

Anyway, there is nothing on the package that says the protector is shatter proof, merely shatter resistant. The most expensive screen protector in the world won't save a screen from shattering if the phone is dropped just right. Casual Transition - Mother Brain - Rise And Grind (Vinyl)

Posted on by Nikokree

Bagheera does not eat the eggs we get. He turns up his nose and saunters out of the kitchen whenever Mother as much as knocks the eggs against his bowl. III Mother puts on her favourite brown heeled sandals. As she traces her lips with brown, slowly filling in colour, I watch. I dream of growing old, tying my hair in a high ponytail, errant strands of hair framing my face, long earrings jangling.

I want to be a woman and to be a woman is to be beautiful. When Mother takes her afternoon nap, I drape her dupatta along my body, stick my small and grubby feet in her sandals, dab my cheeks and lips with pink lipstick, fasten long, beaded earrings on my gold hoops. Pineapple and cheese on a stick is my favourite, I shove two in my mouth at once before I get caught, and trot behind Mother.

I lay back, looking up at the ceiling, a wispy cobweb quivering in a corner. Mother comes out, wipes her hands on the towel, straightens her dress, each bend of her fingers supple, measured. I ask her again. In all truthfulness, I think I am greener in colour than I am in feeling.

A thing of joy, I'd like to believe, really. Envy is not a good look on trees. You see, I get to be So as long as the ground keeps holding me up. A hundred years of being has brought me rings of knowledge, that would bloom much more often, if I wasn't so forgetful. The knowledge that sits and stays, and doesn't dance away, though, has reminded me time and again, that its best for trees to revel in uncertainty.

The wind helps me achieve this, as do curtains of rain. I tend to not trust the rain, nor the wind. For their moods float like clouds, and clouds do float ever so often.

This is the world I know Jalo, whose glasses sit at the edge of his nose, on the verge of falling, like a stone from a mountain, a leaf from a tree, looks at me suspiciously. His tea brews in the kitchen, and a little whiff tells me that it's a little too overdone, as are a lot of things Jalo does.

He should rush towards it right about now. And so he does. I stand tall in his backyard, patiently. Yes, I am aware of that being my only choice, not that I'd do things any differently.

This is the world I know. Jalo hobbles his way through the backyard door, with a tangerine coloured cup of tea in his hand, slightly cracked at the handle. Still having his eyes fixed on me, he pulls out the wobbly chair in the backyard, takes a deep breath in, and lands with a thump on the chair. I wonder if my company makes him any less lonely. I wonder if he feels lonely at all. You see, whenever I get the unforeseen chance to catch a glimpse of him, which is without a doubt, always in the backyard, I see him, I see his eyes; one open, the other - as if still stuck in a dream.

A dream that never seems to take shape, waddles around him, talks to him till he tires of it, like a child tires of playing, leaves, comes back again but always in a different way, a different game. The way in which these dreams left and returned was discomforting to him, their deliberate swinging from enraging him to confusing him to ensuring he didn't get out of his bed for days on end riddled him, revealing this part of himself to absolutely nobody but me when he would find his way out to the backyard, seeming to be troubled and even surprised like he was witness to firecrackers going off or a masked reality.

He would sit at the table in the backyard and stare at the seeming nothingness that surrounded him. Sometimes, he would even murmur short words to himself, but these words were never coherent. Always faded off into the strangeness of the air. There were never moments of clumsy silence, though.

Of a silence that didn't make him tremble, that didn't startle him, didn't envelop him in its arms. The truth, however, is that even though him and I shared the same world, they seemed gigantically different to me. I know nothing about being human - the tears, the laughs, the dance, the puzzles, the guitars their purpose, how to begin to say the right words, or play the right notes.

I know less about the way things would make a person feel, since I only know how to be. I know how to stretch my barks, what I seem to have for limbs, to listen to the chirping of birds, to want to touch the soupy skies red, and pink and blue oceans above me. I know the soil, and its strength, its ability to absorb and accord. Jalo was rarely met with the presence of people, and that could have something to do with the fact that he made them uncomfortable, holding in his eyes a certainty that they knew a truth he didn't.

Squinting his eyes at them, while he adjusted his glasses, and sniffed a sniff. People came, said their hellos, and soon after, their goodbyes. This never wore Jalo's. One such afternoon, he sat at his kitchen table, in the center was a vase which he filled with different fresh flowers every day lilies, oleanders, and tulips and smiled at the generosity with which they seemed to bloom.

He stared at the plate of food in front of him, ate a little, and then restlessly got up to fix another plate. While he fixed another plate of food, he began whispering short sentimental apologies for having been so unthinking, as a solitary tear rolled down his cheek, he continued going about, as if his moods had not shifted at all, undisturbed.

Sitting back down at the table, he let out a sigh of relief, smiled to himself and said thank you. It was loud enough for it to be spoken to somebody else, but quiet enough only for a person sitting at a palm's length to hear it. After having said the thank you, he began gulping down the ready-made pasta he had cooked for two. Jalo had his lazy days. Days that I would have to think hard to remember his face, and the wrinkles next to his eyes, his strut, that in spite of always being solitary never lost its strong hints of conviction.

It took some getting used to, but I held on just fine. Jalo on the other hand, seemed to be struggling with it. His demeanor, his smiles, his cooking style, his waking time — all got too unpredictable. He would murmur more often, and loudly now. He would often forget to put his glasses on, forget the time he turned the stove on, and the fresh flowers were all now wilted.

The backyard barbecues, picnics, pools, lake houses, camps, and cocktail wear all simply mirages of colonial hangover. Yet, I stayed pleasantly unaware. Summer is the cruellest season as lands run dry, emotions run amok and people run around for food and water. We perspire for no reward. All pain, no gain.

The hot winds and heat strokes, dehydration, parched tongues, burning micturition, heat boils and mosquitoes. With mosquitoes: dengue and malaria; so if you can, you leave.

If not, you jostle in lines waiting for the water truck that may or may not arrive. Constantly swarmed by hot and sweaty people who may or may not behave. A hand here and a hand there In crowds like these, nobody can be blamed. The golden wonderland Hollywood waits for Is our fiery hell. Brain freezes from slushies are a luxury. Who do you play board games with when everyone is always working, trying to make ends meet, trying to find something, anything to eat.

With each year passing by it only grows hotter and wilder. Yet, pleasantly unaware, I turn the air conditioning on, and forget myself as I dive into movies about white people going to beaches, sun tanning, and skinny dipping. Light poured in from a window; covered by sheer curtains that failed at their attempt to block the powerful rays from the mighty orb that shone bright at 5 PM.

It was the month of March. My mother found me at my old Oakwood table, which showed a very small area of its lustrous polished surface as my books lay sprawled over it; and me on top of them. I had dozed off. Drained out and enervated, after a long, vigorous session of cramming those fat books in monochrome. Exams were at close quarters and the pressure could be felt by every individual of my age. My mother caressed my hair as she woke me up from my siesta, a soft smile on her face. I looked up at her with my eyes partially squinted.

She laughed and shook her head as she leant forward, shut my books and cleared all the paraphernalia that lay strewn on the table. I looked at her with dismay. I have finals in a week. I need to study! I looked around for a while, just trying to figure out what I was supposed to do there.

I spotted a lone bench in the far end of the park, placed precisely under a mammoth tree, whose name I failed to recollect. I made myself comfortable on that bench, plugged in my iPod and played my goto playlist.

I looked up after I had settled in. It took me one glance, and I was transfixed; just like the tree above me. The smoldering glow of the Sun was so replenishing, I could pen down an aubade while I gazed at the flaring star. With John Denver echoing in my ears, I closed my eyes and tilted my head to the back; I wanted to embrace every sound, every smell that was redolent of ease.

I could smell the fragrance of freshly cut grass; which was followed by an aroma similar to that of petrichor, as a slow breeze blew against my face.

The zephyr moved past me, with a wondrous blend of all the scents it had picked up as it brushed pass the multifarious flowers of the park. As it moved past me, it seemed to withdraw from me all the worries that had clogged the veins of my body.

I could feel fresh blood gush through them. I unplugged my iPod. The knots in my mind unwinded, one by one, as I heard the mellow warble of birds; it was as if they were singing a lullaby to their young ones, beckoning the moon with the same. I opened my eyes and looked up. The fiery fiesta of the westward bound sun had become placid. The subtle sounds of the crickets that had recently emerged from the dense foliage behind me, seemed to be a harbinger of the approaching twilight.

I waited a few more moments as I tried to garner every little occurrence around me. Finally, I got up and walked back towards the main entrance of the park. It had just been an hour, but it felt like an aeon. My steps felt lighter, I felt revived. All the monochrome that my books had imprinted on my. I reached home and smiled a wide smile on seeing my mother. She looked at my face and mused at the ingenuous sparkle in my eyes.

Sunita got up with the cold winter breeze, which rushed in through the open window. She got up to close it but stood there for a while, wrapping her hands around. She could smell heavenly fragrance of white Parijat flowers.

A yellow climbing rose creeper was resting on the tall wall behind. She looked at the room inside and then at the garden. In the middle of the garden stood an old Gulmohar, spreading his large boughs shadowing half the garden and their adolescent parijat plant. Some birds of reminiscences came and sat, twittering days gone. She also remembered now, how he taught her to plant a tree. She knew it already, but he only reminded her. Making her sit on the hot soil on a lazy afternoon, he had retold her, her own story.

Since the day Sunita got job in this house, she thought of Mr. Being his caretaker, she did all her duties perfectly - taking care of his medicines, food, bathing him, combing hair, changing clothes, shaving, taking him around in the garden on his wheelchair, everything what was expected from her.

With any other patient, these all would have been seamlessly fine, but not with Mr. He observed her minutely, lying on his bed since the day one. His annotations were clear. Firstly, whatever Sunita did, it had some fragments of her thoughts attached to it. Some deeply rooted profound thoughts. It was within a week since she started here. It made her smile now. But then she did not say anything. She ignored his comment and many which followed that. She tackled the world with it.

Her fingers, long and soft, were running into his skin, making circles, mutely. Her silence too made circles in the air and got dissolved in the hot summer afternoon. Or like me just kept aside? But this time inside her, where everything had dried up, moved a tiny fallen leaf. She remembered a small girl, playing on a swing tied to a tree and she remembered a woman, looking at the girl with a gleaming smile.

She also remembered a small house, tiny rather, with a roof made up of dried grass and walls made up of mud, red ribbon braided into brown shaggy hair, road running up and down with red dust, swirling wheels, some giggles, some cries, a blood shed doll, these all and some more flickered in her for some moments and then it all settled down with the gush of reality. Outside her, the circles her fingers were making into his skin were still mute and the air imbued with silence.

They both could hear only slowly wheeling panes of the rusted ceiling fan. Prabhu had understood by now that behind this crystal-eyes, fragile girl, there was an.

That lava gushing under her cold, unmoving face would hardly burst out now. And it was burning her from inside. But he was helpless. His movements were relied on her and his life stories returned with empty eyes. He opened himself to her telling her about his life, work, and places he travelled, and about his estranged relationship with his expired wife, about his daughter, married and settled in Moscow, who had arranged this comfort through home nursing, and how she cared enough to call him once a month to check if he was still alive.

His friends and kin had already departed. But this time he could not just pick up the call and complain about this girl. There was something riveting, not about her perhaps, but whatever that was inside her, which he had been trying to read since long. And whatever this was, with this thirty-year-old, had immense inculcated gist as compared to his seventy-eight years of life span together.

He had never heard her laugh, never seen her cry, never had she ever shouted or smiled or even sighed. But he carried on with his childish interrogations.

She never said anything, but her eyes did a lot. They told stories. If had they learnt to speak, they would have told him that she once had words and life too, with abundance around her.

But something got lost somewhere. Prabhu had somehow given up on her. He spoke and spoke and heard his own words echoed in silence. In later months, their monologues conversations settled amicably, finding harmony in this arrangement. Then one day, something wrinkled in this arrangement. While taking a stroll in the garden, they saw a little girl collecting garbage on the other side of the road. Prabhu overlooked and waited Sunita to push his wheelchair ahead.

And for the first time in many months, he noticed that something moved inside her, some old past foregone had come and tapped her from behind. Someone from deep down of her had just grasped a breath and he got a sign of her liveness. The postpartum experience is one of peaks and valleys. As in any transition, there will be losses as well as gains. At times you may question your ability to mother well. Your relationships with friends and significant others will likely change. New mothers typically report experiencing the full range of emotions — from elation to joy, to pride and a sense of spiritual expansion, to jealousy, anger, guilt, and frustration.

On the contrary, it is a sign that you are deeply aware of the significance of this experience and that you are allowing your love for this child to change and deepen your sense of who you really are. They come with a record sheet, so you can use them as a fast finisher activity!

You can intermingle modern and contemporary furniture to bring a balance of both looks into the room.
