Although the song only managed to reach No. An early mix of the song was used in the accompanying music video, but not released on record in stereo until , and it features an extra verse:.
And for the first time since ABBA made music videos, the clip for "On and on and On" did not feature any live movement from the group. Instead, a photo montage was made from their Las Vegas concert during their United States tour and tried to somewhat match the action of the photos with the song.

The Visitors was one of the first records ever to be recorded and mixed digitally, and also one of the earliest in history to be pressed on the CD format in as, in terms of commercial release dates, it was predated by the Japanese release of Billy Joel's 52nd Street. The Visitors has been reissued in digitally remastered form three times—first in , then in and again in as part of The Complete Studio Recordings box set. The Visitors Deluxe Edition. It features a number of hits such as "Chiquitita", "Does Your Mother Know" and "I Have a Dream" and showed the group embrace disco music, which was at its peak at the time.
The album peaked at No. Voulez-Vous was first released on CD in The album has been digitally remastered and reissued four times; first in , then in and in as part of The Complete Studio Recordings box set, and yet again in for the Voulez-Vous Deluxe Edition.
The Album. A classic in the truest sense. Dated more than you might think, but not the worse for that. Fabulous CD that I never had. Love Abba music. I like it. Is a very good album, with songs that remind me special moments in my life Great job! The music on this album cannot be faulted, Abba were firing on all cylinders at this point of their career and Benny had adopted a few new synthesizers which signalled the band were staying up-to-date with the electronic sounds that were starting to dominate the airwaves at the time.
Now onto the Deluxe Edition reissue May The album has been remastered and sounds great. I am not an audiophile boffin by any stretch of the imagination but it all sounds good to me. The DVD includes some wonderful previously unreleased footage which has been thoughtfully compiled. Performances of songs from the German TV 'Show Express' capture Abba in their prime looking wonderful and the documentary footage of the Abba cover-shoot is fascinating viewing. The international record sleeve gallery is a tad repetitive as most of Abba's release used the same artwork around the world at this time.
One disappointment with this release was that it did not come in the hard, clear Deluxe Edition slip case that the previous releases did Arrival, The Album, Voulez Vous. Instead it was shrink-wrapped and has a Deluxe Edition sticker plastered to the sleeve which looks cheap are Universal trying to cut costs here? Overall though an essential purchase for any Abba fan or for that fact anybody wanting to hear one of the bands finest albums. Translate review to English.
Now this review is about the sound of the CD this being the third reissue not counting box sets. So please take it for granted this is a mile stone in Abba's musical legacy. I was never that happy with the remasters that were issued in , I felt a lot of the warmth had been lost due to the increase in volume, in fact at times it sounded like I was listening on a transistor radio.
Then the deluxe versions appeared, I was interested mainly if the sound had been improved or should I say returned to its original glory. Placing the version in my Naim CD player, it is very loud in fact you can not turn the volume up much before the speakers become distorted, so I then placed this new version, what an improvement, it is almost as good as Kate Bush's remaster of the Red Shoes.
The winner takes it all has depth and clarity that had been lost on the master. On and On you can turn up as loud as you like and feel those drums. The question beckons why could this not have been done first or second time around, do I really have to buy all the Abba albums again to get the sonic clarity we all want?. As for the DVD not that great I am afraid, apart from being Mono and grainy picture again no promos for any of the songs. However I buy Abba for the music not the visual stuff.
I have only knocked off one star, this is because of the poor DVD, and the fact we have to buy the album a third time to get the sound we should have had in the first place. Commercially, Super Trouper, ABBA's seventh album, was another worldwide blockbuster. "The Winner Takes It All," its lead-off single, released several months in advance of the album in most territories, was a smash; for example, it was the group's 14th consecutive Top Five hit in the U.K. and their eighth number one there.
